Summer Update
Hey youll if anyones still there i have been having a great summer and i hope you have too. I just got back from Blackwood Nature Camp it was so much fun!!!!! recently I started another blog called duck Tape STUFF. You should check it out. I hope ill see youll agaian. PPCD
Yesterday we went to the PPCD class again. It was so much fun. The little boy, Serin, that I played with yesterday wasn't there, so I play with Gabrellia. I think that she had a physical condition and had trouble paying attention (ADD). First we played with little dinosaur toys. She liked taking them out of the container and putting them back in. after we did that for a while we than did some puzzles. She was actually was very good at solving it.
After a while Mrs. Gunter had every one sit on the carpet and listen and watch the tumble books. I noticied that for some of the childeren had a lot of trouble paying attention.

Talent Show TODAY!!!!!
Today is the talent show and the problem is that people didn't dress up and they didn't finish trophies. It is going to be hard to get ready for the talent show in time for 1:55. I am sad that not everyone in our class is going to be able to participate because of what they worn, but it is the right thing to do because we agreed to dress nicely. I'm really excited to see what the result are going to be.

Talent Show Planning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Yesterday we got in groups to plan the specifics for the talent show. I was in the group that helped plan the judges table. We decided that we would get red paper from the teachers lounge to cover the top of the table. Then the sides of the of the table will be cover of the table will be covered with red streamers. We will get a vase of flowers to put in the middle of the table and will get fancy cups. We also made a sign that says OM Team Is Accepting DONATIONS! We have alot to get done for decorating for the talent show.

Exhibition Reflection
Thus far we have done a lot for exhibition. Our first action was helping challenged children. We couldn't actually help the children around the bases, so we decided to cheer them on. I have never seen anyone so happy. One boy who was paralyzed had just had someone help him run the bases and when I saw his face there was the biggest grin I had ever seen. As we went around to cheer on each other game I could tell why people volunteer. Even just cheering them on feels so good. I think that we accomplished our goal of helping them. The kind of help we gave was courage. It was very good for us to go to the game so that we are reminded of how much harder other's lives are.
Yesterday were the auditions for the talent show. I thought that it went well and people were really confident to show their talents. I don't think that anyone was very shy. I think that everyone was very supportive just by participating in the talent show. It gave people an opportunity to shine and kind of show off ( in a good way ).
This afternoon we finished the art projects that we made for the PPCD class. I think that they will understand how much we care for them. It will be very rewarding!!!!

Reflection on 5-5-11
Today we all really understood how our exhibition topics will work. We started brainstorming how bullying and Om raising money could fit in. We all agreed that we are people who help others. We decided we would show case peoples talents. We will also try to raise money during the talent show. On the 16th of may with awaiting approval from Mr. Baker we will have an audition for the talent show. Than the 19th of the same week we will have the real talent show.
We also brainstormed ideas for stopping bullying. We are going to try to stop bullying through out the school. My table was planning a help box. Our form is on the brainStorm Bullying Post.

Last Descriptor!!! What it Means To be Human
I chose this article because it is about achieving your goal. This women was born without arms or knee caps. She didn't let this stand in her way. Now she is on the way of getting a black belt. This is so amazing because I probably can't get even the first type of belt. This women is making a difference for everyone showing them that nothing can stand in her way.
This relates to Exhibition because I think that being human is not letting anything stand in your way. This women has decided that she's not any different (which she is not) and she is giving others hope. The world is going to be a lot different in the future with people like her. She has opened our eyes to things I would never dream to be possible and yet they are!
Leadership
I think being a leader is doing the right thing, not what others do. Also it is a way to stay true to yourself and express yourself.

Who We Are Reflection
Who We Are
An inquiry into the nature of the self-
I thought that this was about finding who you really are and not being afraid of showing it. This was very important to discuss since we are going into middle school. We should never be afraid of what others think of us. The only person who gets a say in yourself is you and that is what really counts.
WHAT I LEARNED- Being who you are no matter what others think of you
Beliefs and values-
When we discussed what we thought values are not important I found out what I really followed as a student, child, and citizen. Empathy, success, leadership, reliability, and prudence are what I value and hope to always keep following because I know that they are right. These really reflect my actions everyday and I have only really have thought about this know.
WHAT I LEARNED- That my values announce who I am
Personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health-
This was something that was very new to me and took a little time to fully understand. I interrupted this as subjects that are where most problems occur. It feels as if people really struggle with this and it is something that is really hard to think about. For me this is where exhibition ideas started to spark because it felt like I dug very deep even with the small activity we completed.

Human Relations: families, friends, and communities-
When I made my glog I realized that these are some of the most important things in life. I saw how friends connect you to others and help you along the path of life. Then I saw what a big impact communities have. A lot of your life is best around it and it is like your game board if you are the playing pieces. Family was very hard for me to discover but then I realized that it is the things you do in life that they enjoy with you and the place you can turn to for support.
WHAT I LEARNED- The building block of life and the people that help you through it
Rights and responsibilities-
When I made my T-chart I saw that you rights are what you have the right to do without any approval. These are things like the right to speak your mind. The reason we have the Bill of Rights is so these rights will always be protected. Responsibilities are things that you are supposed to do or are required to do. Like you are supposed to do community service but you are required to follow the law. Your rights and responsibilities is how our government runs.
WHAT I LEARNED- Protect your community by following these
What it means to be human-
Our class digged under and found what the true meaning was of what it means to be human. Many of us thought that it was about helping other. I thought that overall we wanted to really help people with fewer opportunities than us. This is exactly what I thought that what it means to be human. The hard task about this assignment was it was hard to really get passed the idea of the story and really find out what it means.
WHAT I LEARNED- That we don’t have one soul purpose to be on the Earth
Conclusion-
At first for exhibition I wanted to do something about puppy mills, but now I have realized that it is more than that it is about you. Know I still Have to brainstorm what I want to do since it is harder than I thought.
